All Lutheran Women's Retreat (ALWR) Logo

All Lutheran Women's Retreat (ALWR)

This year's All Lutheran Women's Retreat (ALWR) will be held November 3 - 5, 2022, at the Natural Bridge Historic Hotel and Conference Center in Natural Bridge, Virginia. The ALWR is a gathering of women from all branches of the Lutheran faith, beyond our individual women's organizations, that has been held every other year since 1981.  For all these many years, Lutheran women from the different branches of the faith have served on the planning committee and faithfully planned a retreat simply for the enjoyment of coming together, spiritual growth, and renewal.  Forming new bonds and friendships along the way, we are most of all guided by the Holy Spirit.  A history of past retreats may be found at this link  https://sites.google.com/view/alwretreat/past-retreats The ALWR Planning Committee feels that the same need for this organization exists today as when it was established 41 years ago, that is a chance to be in community together as Sisters-In-Christ.  For that reason, ALWR is intentionally reaching out to SED LCMS to invite women members to participate in this opportunity.   We hope if you are not able to join us for this year's retreat, that your group will consider attending the 2024 retreat.  In January 2023, we will begin planning and site selection for the 2024 retreat.  Several churches that plan their own retreats, give themselves a break from planning and attend ALWR as a group.
